New Board Takes the Helm of SROA in Pasadena

At the 24th Annual Meeting, new Board members joined SROA and began meeting immediately preceding and following the meeting to plan strategies for the coming year, review evaluations of the Pasadena meeting and begin sharing ideas about the education program for next year's meeting in Cambridge, Mass.

Joan Kines of Harbin Clinic Radiation Oncology in Rome, Ga., is the incoming President. Outgoing President Darrin Kistler of Kansas City moves into the Chairperson role. Joining Kines in planning next year's meeting will be Scott Krewson of Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, N.C. As President-elect, Krewson chairs the Program Committee and will assume the President position at the 2008 Annual Meeting.

Other new Board members include Jill Schultz of Medical X-ray Center in Sioux Falls, S.D., as Secretary; Giles Toole of Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Florida, Member-at-Large Community; and Claire G. Mendenhall of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Moncrief, who is the incoming Member-at-Large, University.

The new members join current Board members Kistler; Treasurer Gail Satterfield of Charlotte, N.C.; Member-at-Large, Freestanding Nick Hernandez of Brandon, Fla.; Member-at-Large, at-Large Colleen Simon of Stone Mountain, Ga.; and Advisory Members Timothy Laugh, Alan Burns and Kathryn Wall, who are past Presidents.
