2006 Annual Meeting Overview
On behalf of the Society for Radiation Oncology Administrators (SROA), we invite you to join us in Philadelphia for the Society's 23rd Annual Meeting, Celebrate Freedom, Celebrate Change, November 5-8, 2006, Hyatt Regency Philadelphia at Penn's Landing.
The meeting includes a distinctive blend of invited speakers, workshops and plenary sessions. Sean Swarner, a cancer survivor with a powerful message will open the meeting. He'll be followed by outstanding general sessions from Bernie Seigel, MD, author of Love, Medicine & Miracles; Joe Flower, a health care and technology futurist; Tim Wright, humorist; medical physicist Bill Salter, PhD., and Michael Broome, motivational speaker. Workshops on respiratory-gated radiation therapy, strategic planning, relative value (RVU) analytics, radiation therapy electronic medical records and more offer practical information. Workshop speakers also will address brachytherapy, updates in regulations, codes and documentation, and other topics. The popular Billing Panel also returns as a general session. There also will be time to catch up with old friends and to make new ones.
Of course, you don't want to miss the Scott Cervine, magician extrodianarie, at the Varian Quality Luncheon. And plan to dance the night away with Jellyroll — Philadelphia's premier dance band at the President's Ball.
Make your plans now to join the SROA in Philadelphia — a dynamic place where big city excitement meets hometown charm. Famous as the birthplace of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, the cradle of liberty offers much more than cobblestone streets and historical landmarks. Cultural, culinary, artistic and ethnic treasures abound in this city and its surrounding countryside.
Remember, the Early Bird registration deadline is September 30.
